Seeking participants for Linguistics PhD project

If you are aged 18 to 35, speak English as your first language, and have no hearing or listening difficulties, we would love your participation in research for a new speech-in-noise and memory test. In return for attending two 40-minute sessions on campus, you’ll receive a $30 gift card.

The purpose of the study is to collect normative data for a new listening test named the Language-Independent Speech-in-Noise and Reverberation test (LISiNaR), and a new memory test named DigiSpan. Both the LISiNaR and DigiSpan will be presented via a computer while you are wearing headphones. The testing sessions will be completed in a soundproof room at Macquarie University, North Ryde.
