National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) is seeking healthy adults to participate in an Electroencephalography (EEG) study. This study aims to better understand how background noise affects the brain following acoustic and linguistic information in connected speech. Participation will involve attending a 2.5hr appointment at the Australian Hearing Hub (at Macquarie University) and participants will receive a $50 Coles Group & Myer gift card in appreciation of your participation.

Eligibility criteria:

• 18-40yrs old
• Native English speaker
• Normal hearing and speech abilities
• Right-handed
• No history of neurological, psychiatric, or developmental disorders
