The new-look Policy Central turns two

The new-look Policy Central was launched on 22 February 2021, improving user experience and providing valuable consultation features.   

Feedback continues to be positive, with users particularly appreciative of the Bulletin Board consultation featureIn the past six months, there have been more than 3000 views of policy drafts on the Bulletin Board, and almost 200 individual feedback submissions have been made. 

Policy development and review has also been facilitated by the new system. In the past two years:  

  • close to 200 policy documents were amended, fully reviewed, or newly created  
  • more than 100 policies were made available on the Bulletin Board for feedback 
  • more than 90 redundant or superseded policy documents were expired.  

The student-facing policies are consistently the most viewed, with the Student Code of Conduct receiving more than 60,000 visits during the past two yearsThe Assessment Policy, the Academic Integrity Policy, the Acceptable Use of IT Resources Policy, and the Recognition of Prior Learning Policy make up the top five, all receiving more than 20,000 visits 

The Assessment Policy is under review, so make sure to provide your feedback by Friday 10 March. Details below.

The following policies are open for feedback through the Bulletin Board 

  • Admission Policy – feedback open until Wednesday 1 March 2023 
  • Assessment Policy and Assessment Procedure – feedback open until Friday 10 March 2023
