Campus parking in 2022

Paid parking on campus on the University campus restarts on 1 January 2022. Staff and students need to have a current vPermit or pay by the hour (PAYG with CellOPark) to park on campus. Permits go on sale from 1 January 2022.

If you purchased a six-month or annual permit in full by credit card after 1 July 2021, an extension of six months will be applied to your current 2021 parking permit. Please review your vPermit online to check that your extension has been applied.

When buying a 2022 vPermit, staff can choose to either pay in full or by salary sacrifice, where fortnightly deductions commence from the next pay day.

The flexible system means that you only have to buy a vPermit online from the day that you park on campus.

If you have any queries, please email the Parking team.

  1. Thank you Communications Team, for not communication the Parking details for 2022 correctly.
Since 8:15 this morning I have received over 100 emails and my colleagues have received the same amount of emails, from staff who do not understand your parking article.
The passage about 2022 parking should have read
All VPermits for 2022 will, be available for purchase from 1st January 2022 and NOT before.
If you purchased a 6-month Jul- Dec or an annual Vpermit and paid by credit card in 2021, an extension of 6 months Jan – Jun 2022 will be applied on 1st January 2022 to your Vpermit. Please check your vPermit account after the 1st January to check that your extension has been applied.
If not please contact parking@mq.edu.au when you return in 2022
Staff who purchased a VPermit by Salary Sacrifice payments do not receive any parking extension and will be required to purchase a VPermit in 2022.
From the Parking Team who answer all the parking emails and and phones calls
