Workday Phase Two is now LIVE!

From 2 August 2021, new functionality was implemented in Workday as part of Phase Two of the project.  Throughout the second half of 2021, several new features will be switched on and current paper-based HR processes will move ‘online’ into Workday.

The project team will let you know about new functionality as it’s rolled out.  See below for information on what’s changing in August and find details of Workday Webinars you can attend to learn more about the changes.

From 2 August, the key changes to be aware of are:

Our probation process has moved online
  • Paper-based probation forms have been retired across the University, Campus Life, MGSM, and MQ Health.
  • Managers and new staff members will now use Workday to record probation goals and outcomes.
Your Workday employee profile now has two new menu items
  • Career: enables you to record information within a ‘talent profile’ about your skills, education, experience, languages, certifications, awards, and professional affiliations. Any information added here will be visible to all employees across the organisation and is searchable (except for certifications).
  • Performance: enables you to set goals which will feed into your annual performance and development review. Goals will be visible only to you, your direct manager, and HR.
New Leave Dashboard for managers and budget owners
  • From mid-August, managers and budget owners will have access to a dashboard showing leave history, planned leave, and leave balances (including excess leave) for team members.

Workday Webinars (30 – 60min each) have been scheduled within the first two weeks of August.
