The Department of Linguistics is seeking children to participate in an ARC-funded study, led by Professor Felicity Cox, investigating how children’s speech develops as they move from preschool to school.
Guardians will answer a short questionnaire about their child’s language and cultural background (this will take about five minutes). Children will then complete a fun online picture naming game, which should take approximately 20 minutes.
Participants who complete the questionnaire and online game before 30 November 2020 will go into the draw to win one of ten $100 Coles/Myer vouchers.
Children may also be eligible to take part in follow-up studies over the coming year. Ongoing participation in the project will be reimbursed with up to $100 in Coles/Myer vouchers.
