Introducing 10% staff scholarship for Global MBA

We are delighted that Macquarie staff can now receive a 10 per cent scholarship on their tuition fees when studying the Global MBA.

We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic may have impacted your career trajectory and now might be a good time to upskill or pursue a qualification you have been thinking about for some time.

To find out what it would be like to study the Global MBA, take a look at the recording below of a recent webinar information session we held where we discussed what the classroom experience is like, how to plan your studies, and what time commitment is required.

The re-engineered MBA presents a future-focused curriculum that looks to develop six key capabilities: strategising, leading, analysing, influencing, adapting and problem solving.

The Global MBA will prepare you for the workplace of the future as key transferable soft skills, as identified by the World Economic Forum, have been integrated into the program.

For staff who don’t meet the direct entry requirements you can still be accepted into the Global MBA via the Performance Track requiring you to achieve 65 WAM across a minimum of 4 units. For further details about this, please review the admissions pathways.

For more information about the curriculumterm dates and admission pathways on the intakes please visit the GMBA website.

This 10 per cent tuition scholarship applies if you are a current Macquarie staff member with an MQU ID. When applying for the GMBA Award or Performance Track (Non-Award), please indicate your Staff ID number in the Scholarships section of the application form.

If you are a current student in the GMBA and wish to apply for the scholarship, please email globalmba.support@mq.edu.au and indicate if you intend to enrol in Term 3 by 1 May. Please note, the scholarship will be applied after census date, should you be deemed eligible.

Eligibility criteria
– Academics with two years’ service or more

– Continuing and fixed-term professional staff with two years’ service or more
– Fixed-term staff need to have at least 12 months remaining on their current employment

Terms and conditions
You must be admitted and enrolled in the GMBA degree (full time or part time study is eligible for the sponsorship).

The scholarship is applied to each unit of enrolment in the GMBA.

The sponsorship is applied after you have enrolled in units. There may be some delay in the sponsorship appearing in eStudent. If you withdraw from your units after the scholarship has been applied, you may only be refunded for the amount you have paid (which will not include this 10 per cent scholarship).

The form must be completed and lodged by the census date of your first term of study.

For more information, please contact the Coursework Scholarships and Prizes Unit on csap@mq.edu.au

For staff already enrolled in the course (Award or Non-Award), please contact globalmba.support@mq.edu.au to be assessed and to accept the terms and conditions by 13 May (Term 3 Census Date) in order for the scholarship to be applied. The scheme does not apply to unit fees paid prior to Term 3, 2020.
