MQ Wellbeing app – the first of its kind

In recognition of the important part wellbeing plays in the success of our students, we’ve partnered with UniWellbeing to deliver the MQWellbeing app.

While other universities in Australia have wellbeing apps, ours is the first of its kind to offer a comprehensive and interactive approach that embraces the evidence-based 5 Ways to Wellbeing, developed by the New Economics Foundation (UK).

Introduced during O Week, the app had approximately 2,700 users, 190,000 interactions and 95,000 views – confirming demand for this interactive online wellbeing service. To promote and encourage our students to connect with their wellbeing, we’ll be undertaking student-led promotional activities and communications this week.

Funded by the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) and aligned to the priorities in the University’s Student Success Strategic Framework, the app is free for Macquarie’s students and can be downloaded from their preferred app store.
