Designated smoking areas

WHS Unit would like to remind staff and students of the University’s policy about smoking on campus.

There are currently six smoking areas across the campus where smoking is permitted.

All those on campus are asked to smoke only in the designated areas and extinguish cigarette butts in the bins provided. Smoking outside these designated areas is a breach of the Smoke Free Campus Policy.

Thank you for helping to keep our campus smoke free for all to enjoy.

  1. It would be great if WHS would actually stop the students who constantly are smoking across from the library at the carpark entrances (right underneath the no smoking sign ironically). This has been happening for years.

Also the smoking students that take over and spoil the entire area from the MUSE building to X5B should be made to smoke in the rear designated area only. Wally’s Walk always stinks of smoke at that end and it is a health hazard.
