Changes to the Waterloo Road staff shuttle bus service

Now that the Epping to Chatswood Metro train line is back in service and offering more frequent trains, after 13 December 2019 (last day of service) we will stop using the Stryder supplementary staff shuttle bus. Staff can continue to use the main shuttle service to transfer between campus (stop outside the Library) and 44 Waterloo Road (stop for 44, 50 and 58 Waterloo Road) however the extra bus is no longer needed.

View the updated staff shuttle timetable below and on the staff portal (from 14 December) here.

  1. This is a really strange explanation. The metro won’t get me to campus efficiently! I have often been on very full shuttles and once I had to miss a meeting because the shuttle was full and I couldn’t get on. Catching the shuttle bus to campus for a meeting blows out the time it takes for a campus meeting to more than double. People who catch public transport to work are being impeded from doing their jobs efficiently because they can’t drive to campus.

    1. Hi Concerned Citizen, unfortunately the Stryder bus was largely underutilised which is why the decision was taken to stop using it for the extra coverage.
