The Widening Participation Unit (WPU) has collaborated with an array of contributors to deliver a book with heart.
The Sweetest Memory cookbook is a collection of dessert recipes, artworks and personal memories, shared by members of our University community including students from refugee backgrounds and their strongest advocates.
Through the sharing of memories and recipes, The Sweetest Memory will warmly raise awareness of our shared humanity, and the need for greater appreciation of, and respect for, people in need of a welcoming community.
All funds raised through the sale of The Sweetest Memory cookbook will go towards grants that support the financial hardship of students studying at Macquarie University who are of refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds.
The cookbook can be pre-purchased here. Books will be available for collection/internal MQ delivery/postage from Tuesday, 11 December.
