Are you seeking care for back pain?

Would you like to help researchers investigate different back pain treatments in a landmark clinical trial?

A team of researchers from the Department of Health Professions working with a team from Curtin University in Western Australia is looking for adults with persistent back pain (three months of pain or more) who live in Perth or Sydney.

If you are willing to participate and meet the inclusion criteria, you will be randomly assigned to receive your normal care or one of two individualised physiotherapy rehabilitation programs.

The rehabilitation programs involve up to seven sessions of free physiotherapy care over 12 weeks, which will teach you to move and think about pain in a different way.

Results from this research will help the team to improve the healthcare given to people with back pain.

Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee has approved this study (RESTORE – Individualised movement rehabilitation for chronic, disabling low back pain). HREC number HRE2018-0062.
