New direction for student communications

The final MyMQ student newsletter has been published today, with MyMQ content to be delivered through the MyMQ Campus Facebook page going forward.

What we’ve gathered from comments and suggestions is that students are social beings and aren’t really that interested in opening emails. In fact, most would rather get their daily fix of news and what’s happening on campus on our social channels.

Unless we need to send an all-student email about matters that  concern all students (such as enrolments) we will be posting student news, events and notices on the MyMQ Campus Facebook page.

Staff should continue to use the suggest a story form to submit content for the MyMQ blog and MyMQ Campus Facebook page.

If you have any questions about the changes to student communications, please email mymq@mq.edu.au.

  1. It would be good if the facebook posts are curated every two weeks for staff to keep updated. Facebook feeds gets very clogged when you subscribe to many things. Thank you
