2018 AFR Higher Education Awards now open for applications

The annual AFR Higher Education Awards are now open.

These distinguished awards recognise contributions from the higher education sector to Australian prosperity and quality of life.

Interested?

  1. Speak to the Office of the PVC (Learning and Teaching) and your faculty AD Learning and Teaching if you intend to apply.
  2. Submit an EOI to the Office of the PVC L&T at pvclt@mq.edu.au by Wednesday 18 April 2018.
    – Include the category you wish to apply for
    – activity (program/project) title
    – a 200-word summary of the activity
    – evidence of previous award recognition

The University can submit one application for each of the categories (below), although there are no limitations on the lifetime achievement award.

The Office of the DVC/A, in consultation with senior stakeholders, will review EOIs and make a final decision on applicants going forward.

2018 award categories:

  1. Community Engagement Award
  2. Education Technology Award
  3. Emerging Leader Award
  4. Employability Award
  5. Equity and Opportunity Award
  6. Facilities Innovation Award
  7. Industry Engagement Award
  8. International Education Award
  9. Learning Experience Award
  10. Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Office of the PVC Learning and Teaching will submit all Macquarie endorsed applications to AFR by the deadline of Friday 29 June. Visit the webpage for more details and key dates.
