Reddy set go! Bike sharing comes to campus

Don’t ever be late for a lecture, tute or meeting again! Just grab one of Reddy Go’s fleet of bright red share bikes from existing bike racks around campus and you’re on your way!

The bikes arrived over the weekend and are available for you to use on campus from today, and feature built-in GPS, 3-speed gears, a bell on the left-hand shifter, a sturdy and light AL frame, airless tyres, and a front light and rear light charged by pedalling and solar panel. It’s all green energy!

How to use:

  1. Download Reddy Go app
  2. Register account with mobile number (four riding vouchers for each new user)
  3. Scan QR code on bike body to unlock bike
  4. Start riding
  5. Lock manually with helmet strap through the loop, and app will calculate fare based on time used – $1.99 each trip up to 30 minutes
  6. The app gives info on distance, time, calories burned and carbon emissions

  1. These bikes are already in use around Macquarie Park.
People are dumping them in other peoples front yards.
There should be a penalty for not returnng the bike to the racks.
