Arts is on the move!

Over the session break, Faculty of Arts staff moved to new temporary homes as we update W6A and W6B to create a transformational learning environment for generations to come:

  • Faculty of Arts staff and services previously located in W6A have relocated to temporary homes on Level 2 of the Australian Hearing Hub (AHH) or Y3A:

–   The Departments of Ancient History, Modern History, Politics and International Relations, Security Studies and Criminology, Sociology, Big History Institute and FAIMS are now located on AHH Level 2 south wing.

–   The Departments of Anthropology, English, Philosophy and International Studies: Languages and Cultures are now located on AHH Level 2 north wing.

–   The teams from PACE and Learning and Teaching have also relocated to the AHH Level 2 north wing.

–  Executive Dean’s Office, General Manager, Associate Deans, the Faculty Research Office, HDRO and Student Administration will now be located in Y3A.

  • The Macquarie Law School, Department of Geography and Planning and Department of Indigenous Studies remain in W3A.
  • The Department of Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies remains in Y3A.
  • The Faculty of Arts Student Centre will be located in the entry foyer of Y3A.
  • Students who currently have classes in W6A and W6B will be communicated with directly about any changes that may occur in the second half of the session.

Staff phone numbers and email addresses remain the same, and staff office locations have been updated in the online directory.

If you have any questions regarding this project or any of these changes, email Project Manager Myff Sharp.

We look forward to sharing information about what’s coming at a later date.
