Saturday’s Open Day event was a big hit with future students, thanks to many Macquarie staff who were involved in the event planning and who worked on the day.
Rebecca Barnes, Director of Future Students, says the day was a great demonstration of what Macquarie is all about.
“The combination of our vibrant, welcoming environment and passionate staff who demonstrated our academic excellence and the student support for which Macquarie is known, made Open Day a huge success,” Rebecca says.
“We had great visitor numbers on the day and high quality conversations with prospective students. I want to personally thank all the staff who were involved in making the day a success.”
Staff who participated in Open Day are asked to complete a short survey, so the team can work on making Open Day 2017 an even more enjoyable event.
Was great, I always love open days. However, there was a gap in organising the venue for Physics Magic Show. We were under the impression that we would have 2 hours of set-up time at the venue. But realised on the morning that the lecture theatre was double-booked for chemistry magic show. This meant panic, and the show couldn’t be as organised. This could be improved
Hi Varun, thanks for your feedback.
I have noted this and will ensure that next year all set-up (and pack-down) timings are taken into account when allocating rooms for activities and lectures.
If you have any other feedback on how we can improve, please do fill out this short staff survey: https://mqedu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bIBPb2lbFiT21LL
Well organised, no issues.
thanks Justin.
