Last week saw the successful launch of MyMQ, the University’s new weekly e-newsletter to students, with the first issue being opened more than 30,000 times in its first four days.
Delivered to student email inboxes every Monday morning, MyMQ has been designed to be the first port of call for students to find out about campus news, information and events, and provides a cohesive, regular source of communication to current students.
Developed in consultation with a wide group of University stakeholders, MyMQ aims to:
- Inform students about policy changes, campus services, and fun events
- Engage with them through student-submitted content, feedback, comments and polls
- Inspire them with profiles of student and alumni successes, and highlight Macquarie’s unique emphasis on employability.
MyMQ also aims to reduce the number of adhoc emails sent to students, allowing communications to be more organised and strategic.
If you’d like to publish a story, notice or event in MyMQ, or would like to subscribe, you can email mymq@mq.edu.au or use the contribute form.
All feedback on MyMQ is welcome; the more the team receive, the better they can cater to our students’ needs.
can staff subscribe to this too?
They sure can – just email the team and ask them to add you to the staff subscription list: mymq@mq.edu.au
