Race from City 2 Surf with Macquarie

Take part in this year’s City 2 Surf with your colleagues as part of the Macquarie University team. Staff can take up the challenge while enjoying the music and energy in this iconic fun run – all while raising money for important Macquarie University projects.

This year’s run will take place on Sunday 14 August. The 14 kilometre course will start in Hyde Park and end at Bondi Beach.

“This is a great opportunity for all staff to participate in a fun initiative that allows them to get healthy while having fun and raising money for some great causes at the same time,” says Paul Dennett, Executive Director, Advancement.

As part of the University’s team, staff can choose to fundraise for one of the following causes:

  • Equity scholarships
  • The Centre for Emotional Health’s youth anxiety program
  • Motor Neurone Disease research and patient care at Macquarie University

Alternatively, teams of three or more participants can fundraise for a different Macquarie University cause by contacting Megan Pope.

  1. Are you going to have a stand at the end of the race for the runners as in prior years?

    1. Might have to join you in the strolling team… See how I go between now and then..
