Five. It’s alienating. And insulting actually. It frequently stops me from doing my work efficiently, accessing opportunities, and finding useful contacts, as either I don’t know what the acronym stand for and have no idea whether it’s relevant, or by the time you find out what it stands for, it’s been months since the problem arose. Easily solved if people just defined the abbreviation in full the first time it’s used in a document/email/website.
