This Week Reader Survey – Terms and Conditions

  1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotions for this competition form part of the conditions of entry. By entering the competition, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of this competition are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales.
  2. The competition is being run by Macquarie University (Marketing Unit), Research Park Drive, Macquarie University, 2109 (Macquarie). The This Week Reader Survey competition (the competition) commences at 9am Monday 28 November 2022 AEDT and closes at 11.59pm Sunday 4 December 2022 AEDT.
  3. To enter the competition, you must complete the This Week Reader Survey, be a current Macquarie University member of staff and provide your Macquarie University email address. Macquarie University students are not eligible to enter this competition. By entering the competition you agree that you are a current Macquarie University member of staff.
  4. Entrants may submit a maximum of one entry. Macquarie reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who submits more than one entry. To be eligible for a prize your entry must only include material created by you or material which you have permission to use. By submitting your entry to Macquarie, you grant Macquarie and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive license to exercise all rights in your entry including the right to reproduce and communicate your entry to the public in whole or in part and in any media. You agree that your entry may be edited or adapted at any time by Macquarie for legal, editorial or operational reasons.
  5. A panel of up to three (3) judges will be appointed by the Communications Content/Channel Manager, Macquarie University. The panel will decide, in its sole discretion, the winners, based on their answer to the question ‘What is one thing you would change about This Week if you were the editor?’. The Panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Five winners will receive a $50 Macquarie Centre gift card.
  7. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize. Prizes are not transferrable. Names of the winners in the competition may be published through Macquarie University publications and you agree to the publication of your name in those publications for this purpose.
  8. Prize winners will be notified by email by 5pm Friday 9 December 2022 AEDT. Prize winners are required to abide by any third party terms and conditions relevant to the prize, as presented.
  9. Macquarie accepts no responsibility and is not legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the competition or accepting or using the prize, either during or after the competition.
  10. Macquarie collects your personal information to conduct the competition, identify the winners and administer the prizes. All personal information, including email addresses, collected at this website will be kept and used in accordance with Macquarie’s privacy policy available at its website. Entrants may access and correct their personal information held by Macquarie, upon request to Macquarie.
