Our University, Our Future

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor S Bruce Dowton, is hosting a series of University-wide events for Macquarie’s staff and students to engage in the development of a University Operating Plan for 2020-2024. This plan will be used as a blueprint to prioritise our key areas of focus in the near to mid-term.

Why your input is important

The purpose of the workshops is to encourage genuine debate and seek feedback from staff on strategic priorities, and collectively decide our next steps to achieve our shared vision for 2020-2024 and beyond.

When will the workshops be held?

Most of the workshops are now full, however a limited number of places are available. Staff are encouraged to participate in one of the remaining two-hour workshops by registering here >

The workshops are designed to be interactive and ensure that staff have the opportunity to share ideas that will help move the University forward. This means that the workshop numbers will be capped, and places are limited, so please register early. Light refreshments will be provided.

Faculties and Offices may choose to send a select number of nominated individuals to ensure representation from all areas.

What if I can’t attend?

Our digital engagement platform will be open for staff feedback 24 hours a day until 29 March.  If you are not able to attend a workshop, we encourage you to take the conversation online.

If you have already registered for a workshop but are no longer able to attend, please email events@mq.edu.au so your place can be offered to staff on the waiting list.
