Apply now for 2018 Learning and Teaching Strategic Priority Grants

Funding dates and guidelines are now available on the Staff Portal. Applications for six or three-month grants are due on Thursday, 15 March, with the pitch session taking place on Thursday, 5 April. Please carefully read through the application processes, note commitments and key dates.

Preference will be given to proposals that take a strategic approach to solving Learning and Teaching challenges at Macquarie. All applications must support activity in these priority areas:

  • digital, technology and spaces
  • student engagement
  • student employability and collaboration with industry
  • academic integrity and innovative assessment
  • program based approaches to curriculum and assessment

Key details about this round of funding:

  • Applications due by Thursday, 15 March will be for six or three-month projects (June – December 2018).
  • Staff interested in applying will first need to consult with their Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) and/or business or Unit Director and obtain their endorsement.
  • Endorsed project ideas must be submitted online by Thursday, 15 March.
  • Applicants will then pitch their ideas (three minutes max) to a Learning and Teaching panel on Thursday, 5 April.
  • Panel-supported applications will then be asked to submit a full application, including an itemised budget and timelines for full delivery by Monday, 31 December 2018.
  • The Panel will review full applications and make recommendations for project funding.
  • Successful projects will have additional reporting and dissemination activity requirements in 2018, and these will be linked to funding being released incrementally.

Funding guidelines are available online or contact your faculty’s Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching), Unit Director and/or the Office of PVC Learning and Teaching.
