Were you one of the 900+ staff members who were spotted across campus, learning, drawing, stretching, eating, connecting or exploring during this month’s Wellbeing Week?

The hugely successful pilot event saw staff participating in a variety of engaging sessions and activities, delivered by Macquarie experts as well as external partners.

Information sessions covered topics such as resilience, mindfulness, emotional and physical health and nutrition. Monique Crane’s session on resilience in the workplace was popular and can be viewed online for those who missed out.

Staff also experienced raw cooking demonstrations, tours of MQ Health facilities, sketching classes and pilates on the lawn.

Staff feedback on the event has been overwhelmingly positive, says HR Director Nicole Gower.

“I’m delighted that so many people across campus took the time to focus on their health and wellbeing,” she says.

“Good health and wellbeing is a long-term commitment and it will be an ongoing area of focus for the University, extending far beyond Wellbeing Week.”
