To create a healthier and more resilient society, Macquarie’s Centre for Emotional Health RAW project is aiming to address the following questions:

• Which young people will become our future leaders and who will develop escalating emotional difficulties?
• What do emotional difficulties look like in those years – how do they relate to each other and what is important for teenagers?
• What psychological and social factors influence the development of adolescents – why does one teenager become the social butterfly and the other the wallflower?

The project is similar to the Up series – a series of documentary films that followed the lives of 14 British children since 1964, when they were seven years old.

It is intended to last over four years and requires 500 young people who are currently in year 6 at school to be followed through their teenage development.
