COVID-19 response: collecting student feedback on their learning experience

Unit level surveys (TEDS surveys)

TEDS teaching (LET) and unit (LEU) surveys seek student feedback about their learning experience for teachers and unit convenors, respectively. While these surveys are optional in Session 1 this year, they provide an opportunity for staff to obtain insights into students’ experience of the COVID-19-driven transition to online learning.

If you wish to conduct a teaching (LET) or unit (LEU) survey, consider including a set of optional items relevant to online delivery, such as LET Grp 3 or LEU Group ITU_4.

Order surveys via the TEDS Website. All TEDS surveys will now be delivered online.

For more hints on successful online surveying, see Practical Tips for TEDS Surveys in the online teaching environment.

Institutional survey (COVID-19 survey)

The Learning Innovation Hub is currently developing a survey of all coursework students affected by the changes to unit delivery in response to the COVID-19 situation.

This survey will be largely qualitative, providing students with an opportunity to describe their learning experience, what worked and didn’t work well for them, and any obstacles they faced in their transition to learning online.

The L&T COVID-19 survey will open in Week 10. Please watch for further notices about this survey.
