Do you know a child aged between three and eight who is on the autism spectrum?

Researchers at Macquarie University would like to invite children aged 3-8 whom are on the autism spectrum to take part in their new research.

The project investigates sensory processing in autism – specifically, how sounds are processed in the brain and how that might be different in autism.

What’s involved?
Your child will listen to musical sounds and watch Netflix for 20 minutes whilst lying in an MEG system: a safe and silent neuroimaging device designed specifically for children.

The researchers will also play some games with your child to determine where they lie on the autism spectrum.

Duration: 2–2.5 hours.

Remuneration: $60 and a brief report based on the assessment conducted during the session.
