Macquarie will hold its annual music event known as ‘RE:Conception’ on Friday 13 September, celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the beloved event.

The event is a celebration of university life for the Macquarie University community.  Kick back on Friday afternoon with a range of awesome musical acts, food trucks, boutique bar and dance your way through the evening.

We will also have fireworks on display before the event concludes, to celebrate the event’s 50^th anniversary.

To limit any impact to residents during the event, we will have independent noise monitors, extra roving cleaning patrols, security and police presence.

There will be limited disruptions with some slight changes to Gymnasium Road, which will be closed to vehicles from 12pm on Friday 13 September.

The West 5 and West 6 carparks will still be accessible for staff throughout the day, but only via Link Road, off Culloden Road, after 12pm.

Security guards will be posted at the top of Gymnasium Road to help guide and direct traffic to ensure minimal impact is felt thought the day.

There will also be no changes to operating hours of the Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre which will be open from 5:30am-10pm.
