Have your say on service improvement

As part of Macquarie’s ongoing commitment to improving our service delivery model, tomorrow we will be releasing the Uniforum Service Effectiveness Survey (SES): a short survey to request feedback from professional and academic colleagues on a range of administrative and support services across the University.

What is the Service Effectiveness Survey?

The University professional services model is now established and has transitioned into University operations. The SES will enable us to assess the importance and effectiveness of these services with the insights fed into the Service Governance Board, who play a role in providing overall strategic oversight over the improvements to the professional service delivery models.

This year, we seek your feedback on a broad range of services, including:

  • Human resources
  • Finance
  • Information technology
  • Facilities management
  • External engagement
  • Student support
  • Library
  • Teaching administration
  • Teaching design, development and delivery
  • Research administration
  • Research facilities and support
  • General administration
  • Governance and institutional management

The Service Effectiveness Survey is part of the UniForum program—an international benchmarking exercise of professional services across the university sector, run by Cubane Consulting.

In addition to collecting invaluable data from across the University, our institutional results will be benchmarked against Australian and global universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand. This will enable the University to identify best practice and gain further insights into service model improvement.

How to participate?

The survey will launch tomorrow, Wednesday 25 October and close on Tuesday 14 November.

The survey is optional and will be distributed to staff via email from noreply@surveys.cubaneconsulting.com. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be anonymous and confidential. For more information about the survey, please contact the UniForum MQ Team via email on uniforum@mq.edu.au.
