1. Building the foundations for an inclusive teaching approach at Macquarie

A professional development module co-created by Macquarie staff and students, this module is packed with resources and practical ideas you can implement now to make learning more inclusive. The module is based on the following principles: inclusive classrooms are accessible, engaging and empowering for all students; diversity is a strength; inclusive teaching is an ongoing process of learning together; and all members of the University community have a role in promoting inclusive teaching.

2. Applying UDL principles to the design of a very large unit

Dr Natasha Todorov offers some strategies for supporting neurodiverse students in very large online units, using approaches aligned with Universal Design for Learning principles (UDL). This learning design approach works to accommodate the needs and abilities of all learners and attempts to minimise unnecessary barriers to the learning process.
