Graduate Research Candidates Annual Survey 2022

The Graduate Research Candidates Annual Survey is open, and all MRes, MPhil and PhD candidates are invited to take part.

Each year during Spring, Graduate Researchers participate in MUSEQ-R – Macquarie’s annual survey of research candidates’ experience. It’s a survey that asks about researcher’s satisfaction with their supervision, skill development, opportunities for collaboration, and the intellectual climate in their department.

MUSEQ-R this year opens on 26 September and will run throughout October. Over 1600 Masters and PhD candidates are invited to give their feedback.

Previous year’s survey results have shown that researchers at Macquarie have great relationships with their supervisors, with over 90% of candidates satisfied with their supervision. Surveys from other universities show that Macquarie is among the top universities in the country for experience of supervision.

MUSEQ-R also provides critical information to target improvements. In the past 12 months, the GRA has worked in partnership with Faculties  to establish more representation for research candidates, support candidates disrupted by COVID, streamline degree administration, and increase the training opportunities available.

Candidates are emailed directly about the survey, to their Macquarie student email address, with an individualised link.
