HR launch new staff induction course

The Welcome to Macquarie University Digital Course for new starters embraces Macquarie’s flexible approach to working, ensuring that all staff have access to a consistent, engaging induction program no matter when, where or how they work.

Designed for all those commencing at Macquarie from now on, the course can also be undertaken by staff who are still relatively new to our community.

The course covers:

  • Purpose, vision, values, and strategic priorities for the University
  • Executive Leadership team, the Faculties and Schools
  • How the University supports staff in their role; career; personal, physical, and mental wellbeing; and work/life balance
  • Employment benefits available to staff

Featuring videos, interactive activities, and links to important information on the staff portal, the course only takes about 25 minutes to complete and is available via Workday.

Any new starters will be assigned access to this course within a week of commencement. For those who have already started at Macquarie, but are still keen to get the induction experience, you can enrol yourself through Workday to access the course.

The course format is compatible with all devices (laptop, tablet, and smart phones), meaning participants can complete at a flexible time that suits them best.
