Are you considering applying for academic promotion in 2022?

Applications for academic promotion are due to Human Resources by Wednesday 1 June 2022, however there are several key dates before that deadline.

Academic staff considering applying for promotion are encouraged to consult with their Head of Department in advance and note the following:

As soon as possible and before 31 March 2022	Applicants seeking exemptions from the standard rules (e.g. applying prior to reaching two years of service) need to formally apply as per the Academic Promotion Procedure Part H – Exemptions
1 April 2022	Applications must be submitted to Heads of Departments for review for Head of Department reports
2 May 2022	Head of Department Reports and applications submitted to Executive Deans for sign off
By 25 May 2022	Executive Deans return signed Head of Department Reports to applicants
1 June 2022	Applications due. Submit applications by email to academicpromotions@mq.edu.au
September – November 2022	Applicant interviews
1 January 2023	Promotion effective date
