A recent upgrade to the payroll system means payslips are now available in Workday.

On 17 January 2022 our payroll system was upgraded to the latest version.  As part of the upgrade, payslips will now be available in Workday (instead of HR Online).  Historical payslips can still be viewed for a limited time in HR Online.

To view your payslip from the Workday homepage:

1. Log in to Workday
2. Click on the Pay applications
3. Select Payslips from the section titled View

To view your payslip from your Workday Employee Profile:

1. Log in to Workday
2. Click on your Employee Profile (top-right corner – this will either be your profile photo, if you have added one, or a cloud icon)
3. Click on View Profile
4. Click on Pay (in the menu under your profile picture)
5. Click on Payslips

Note: This does not apply to scholarship holders, thesis examiners, or master teachers, who will now receive their payslip via email.

Plan ahead: Historical payslips will be available in HR Online for a short while only

In mid-March 2022, HR Online will be ‘switched off’ and decommissioned.  Historical payslips will NOT be migrated from HR Online to Workday.  If you wish to retain copies of your historical payslips, it is recommended that you download these from HR Online as soon as possible.

To download historical payslips:

1. Log into HR Online.
2. Click on My Pay > Payroll Details > Payslip History to see all historical payslips
3. Select payslips (individually) to be printed and click Print
4. Change the Destination to Save as PDF
5. Click Save.
