Support for staff experiencing domestic and family violence

Wednesday 25 November marks the International Day for Prevention of Violence Against Women. With COVID-19 lockdowns resulting in an increase in gender-based violence, domestic and family violence is something that all staff – particularly managers – need to be sensitive to.

Macquarie has committed to a range of actions to provide better support to staff and training for HR and managers, with the domestic and family violence support and resources website providing information for staff and managers of staff experiencing DFV.

Diversity Council Australia is also running a useful webinar on Tuesday 24 November– Understanding domestic violence through an intersectional lens – which will discuss the ways workplaces can support people from diverse backgrounds who experience domestic and family violence.

All Macquarie staff have free access to the Council’s webinars, events and resources by registering using their Macquarie email address.
