Staff elections nominations open on 29 September

Nominations of staff members for election to University Council, Academic Senate and Faculty Boards will commence on 29 September, with further information available next week.

What current members say
Current members have the following to say about being a staff representative on one of the University’s governance bodies:

lan-snell_final“The opportunity to contribute to shaping policies that help to deliver better learning experiences for students is rewarding. I strongly believe in turning up, taking a seat at the table, and pressing for change.”
Associate Professor Lan Snell, academic staff member from Macquarie Business School

judith_dawes“I have valued being a member of Academic Senate because it has given me a greater perspective on the issues and problems that affect other parts of the University, of which I was previously unaware. The scope of the University’s activities is impressive, and I appreciate meeting and working with a range of people from across the University both on Senate and on its committees.”
Professor Judith Dawes, elected academic staff member from Faculty of Science and Engineering
