A new pathway to replace the existing cracked and broken pathway along Science Road between Research Park Drive and Eastern Road is to be constructed.

The new pathway will consist of a 2m wide, grade accessible, raised ‘boardwalk’ style section from Research Park Drive levelling out to a concrete section towards Eastern Road. New lighting will be installed and the Arboretum landscaping enhanced.

Construction will commence on Tuesday 9 June 2020 and be completed by 17 July 2020.

There will be no pedestrian access along Science Road during this period and all pedestrian movements from the Health Precinct to central campus will be via Wally’s Walk only.

Walking along the roadway on Science Road is strongly discouraged for safety reasons.
