Book your free flu vaccination: It’s more important than ever before

A smiling young pharmacist dons a stethoscope and completes her senior customer's flu shot by placing a band-aid on her upper arm. She is wearing medical gloves and a lab coat. There are shelves in the background.

Macquarie’s free flu vaccination scheme has been an important part of our staff wellbeing program since 2017.

This year, it’s more important than ever to protect yourself against flu. With our health systems focused on dealing with the COVID outbreak, we can all do our part to minimise the additional pressure on doctors and hospitals that comes with seasonal flu strains.

The MQ Health General Practice, which operates the flu clinic, is currently set up to comply with COVID physical distancing requirements, including separated seating in the waiting room area.

BOOK NOW

The flu clinic will operate between Monday 4 May to Friday 29 May. Flu vaccinations at the clinic will be free of charge for all continuing, fixed term and casual Macquarie University staff, including U@MQ employees.

To book, follow the instructions on the flu shots webpage. The page also features Frequently Asked Questions about the differences between COVID-19 and influenza.
