Faculty of Human Sciences transition and integration update

The operational and human resources phase of the Faculty of Human Sciences transition and integration was completed yesterday with the transition of Learning and Teaching and Student Centre staff to their new receiving faculties.

Staff will continue to be located in the Student Centre at 4 First Walk, which will remain open for student support, noting that students are currently encouraged to submit enquiries via ask.mq.edu.au or call 9850 6360 to schedule an appointment.

Phase 2 of the program is well underway and is focused on remediation work for key systems across the University:

  • the creation of new department codes and significant updates to staff and student records in a complex integrated IT landscape
  • the updating of MQCMS, Handbook, Unit Guide and Tracker to display the new structure and new ownership of academic items by the end of April
  • technical work relating to key systems such as Finance, HR, AMIS, Office 365 etc
  • testing and execution of the changes

Please note: some staff-facing systems will show the new structure and new faculty names, but others will not. This will continue until at least early July.
