Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) study

Dr Hamid Karimi-Rouzbahani, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Cognitive Sciences, is conducting a study to examine how visual information and rules are processed in the brain.

He is seeking right-handed adults 18 years+ with:

  • Normal vision
  • No metal implants anywhere in the body (which are not removable for the time of the study)

Participants are required to undertake two testing sessions, totalling approximately 2.5 hours.

The second test involves a fMRI brain scan lasting approximately one hour, conducted at Macquarie Medical Imagine in the Macquarie University Hospital. fMRI is a safe and non-invasive method to read brain activity.

Participants will receive $55 for their time, and a MRI image of their brain on CD.

Find out more here or email hamid.karimi-rouzbahani@mq.edu.au if you are interested in participating.
