Volunteer as a HAWC and help train our future health care workers

The Health and Wellbeing Collaboration (HAWC) Program is a clinical placement program connecting students in the Department of Health Professions with volunteers from the community. These volunteers need to have current or previous medical conditions that they can discuss with the students.

Volunteers allow medical and physiotherapy students to visit them periodically to practice skills such as consultation, observation and analysis of movement, basic assessment skills, measurement of activity levels and response to exercise.

The program is currently seeking adult volunteers for its March to June session. Students will visit volunteers approximately four times over the session.

Read Frequently Asked Questions about the program or express your interest in taking part as a volunteer.
