An election for the two academic staff positions on the University Council was recently held online.

wylie_insetcath-dean_insetThe two current academic staff representatives, Associate Professor Wylie Bradford and Professor Catherine Dean, were both successfully re-elected for a further two year term to Council (1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021).

Professor Dean – who won the Vice-Chancellor’s Educational Leader Award at last month’s Academic Staff Awards – says she is honoured to be re-elected to Council.

“Macquarie University – like other universities – is facing challenging times. I look forward to working with the new Chancellor, Dr Martin Parkinson, and Council to positively shape  and ensure Macquarie University’s future for our students, staff and the wider community.”
