Seeking adults 65 years+ for study on worry, anxiety and low mood

Macquarie University is conducting a study, co-funded by the NHMRC and Beyond Blue, to examine whether there is a difference in the benefits of two psychological treatment programs aimed at reducing worry, anxiety, and/or low mood in older adults.

Adults aged 65 years and above who have symptoms of worry, anxiety, and/or low mood can participate in this free research trial.

Eligible participants will receive the 12-session ‘Ageing Wisely’ program at Macquarie University.  The treatment program consists of one-hour face-to-face individual sessions for a total of 12 weeks.

Both versions of the program cover similar skills, both are expected to be helpful in reducing worry, anxiety and low mood.
