Careers Week 12-16 August

Do your part to boost Macquarie graduate employability! Spread the word to students about Careers Week, designed to help our students attain professional goals.

Careers Week is an opportunity for our students to meet employers, find out about available roles and gain career information. Careers Week will be held from 12-16 August with events for students at all stages of their study program and from all faculties.

Students can register for these events through Careerhub.

Monday 12 August – STEM Careers Forum
The STEM Careers Forum is a yearly event designed to help students identify career options within their degree and provide a valuable networking opportunity.

Tuesday 13 August – Careers in Marketing
Professionals and recent graduates working in the field of marketing will discuss the different roles available within marketing, provide tips for landing a graduate role and answer student questions.

Wednesday 14 August – Options with Law Networking Event
Students can explore a range of diverse career options available with a law degree at this event for all law students. The event will include a panel discussion with Macquarie law alumni who are applying their law degree and skills in interesting ways.

Thursday 15 August – Career Opportunities Fair

The flagship event is the Session 2 Career Opportunities Fair. Organisations exhibiting will have internships and graduate roles available. Students from all faculties are encouraged to attend.

Friday 16 August – Guidelines for Working in Australia for International Students
International students can learn about their rights and responsibilities for working in Australia with presentations by Fair Work Australia and Aristotle Paipetis, Principal Solicitor and Registered Migration Agent.
