The Australian-American Fulbright Commission offers scholarships to postgraduate students, PhD researchers, postdoctoral researchers, professionals and academics allowing awardees the opportunity to study, conduct research or undertake professional development in the United States.

Macquarie’s successful 2018 applicant, postgraduate student Callum McDiarmid from the Department of Biological Sciences, will head to Cornell Lab of Ornithology this year to further his studies.

In 2019, which marks the 70^th anniversary of Fulbright in Australia, the Commission has a particular interest in projects that will have a tangible impact on the lives of Australians, whether that be through medical research, business, or the arts.
