Fred Rollo was appointed as the Macquarie University Student Ombudsman in 2012 and performed a critical role in assisting students while the University’s complaint management and appeals processes were under development.

As these processes have now matured and are embedded within the University the role of the Student Ombudsman was disestablished in January this year.

Student Advocacy will continue to assist students with appeals and grievances and students may still seek an external review of decisions made by the University by the NSW Ombudsman. The University wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Fred for his genuine care for our students, and commitment to fairness and impartiality.
