(You)us can be a well-being this Staff Wellbeing Week.

Following the success of previous Staff Wellbeing Weeks at Macquarie, the eight-day program of events returns for a third year on Tuesday 23 October with a great range of seminars, workshops and activities.

Running until Thursday 1 November, Staff Wellbeing Week aims to give you information and inspiration to take care of yourself, your body, your mind, your family and your work life.

The week will include informative lunchtime sessions, bush care, campus walks, yoga classes, free massages, free gym membership, an art exhibition, art classes and – if you fancy trying something completely different – the Macquarie Circus!

“Participating in last year’s Staff Wellbeing Week allowed me to spend time with colleagues from different areas of the University, put names to faces and engage in fun activities, while also improving my health and wellbeing literacy,” says Vivienne Burridge, Disability Assessment Advisor in Disability Services. “I can’t wait to get involved again this time around.”

Dr Richa Gupta, Senior Clinical Psychologist in Campus Wellbeing, agrees. She is particularly looking forward to the campus walks after enjoying them last year: “It was great being outdoors in the sun and enjoying the natural beauty around our campus with my colleagues and friends.”

Part of the University’s ongoing staff wellbeing program designed to help you proactively manage your health, Staff Wellbeing Week is a cross-campus collaborative effort brought to you by MQ Health, Campus Life, Centre for Emotional Health, Sustainability, Campus Wellbeing and Human Resources.

Visit the newly redesigned Staff Wellbeing website for more information about Wellbeing Week, and to find out how Macquarie can support your physical and mental wellbeing.
