What is SHIFT?

Kicking off this month is SHIFT, the home of a fresh range of events on campus with something to suit everyone.

SHIFT will run from 5-7pm weekdays on campus, with all sorts of events, entertainment, food, giveaways, faculty support, fitness, wellbeing and eSport – and that’s just a sample.

One event staff and students can get involved in is the Heart Foundation Laps, which encourages participants to walk a marathon in October with regular walks around campus each afternoon.

Macquarie University has signed up to the MyMarathon challenge and we’re encouraging you to join the team to raise $10,000 for the Heart Foundation and cover 10,000km.

But before you start making excuses, MyMarathon gives anyone the chance to complete a marathon by running, jogging or walking 42.2km over the month of October. It’s a marathon on your terms – you decide the pace.
