Please remember that after 30 September 2018, Macquarie University, Macquarie Park and North Ryde train stations will be closed for the upgrade to Sydney Metro Northwest for a period of seven months.
Whether you catch the train or not, it is important to rethink your trip to and from work as it is anticipated there will be increased congestion on the roads during the peak hours and your journey may take longer. Plan your trip at transportnsw.info.
Whilst many of you will have planned how you will travel to work after 30 September, here is some information to consider:
- Over 120 Station Link buses will keep us moving by replacing trains between Epping and Chatswood. Bus stops are now in place adjoining Macquarie University train station. Interactive maps, trip planning data and other details about Station Link can be found here: https://transportnsw.info/station-link-service-adjustments-30-sep/station-link
Now in place – Station Link bus stops on Waterloo Road adjoining Macquarie University train station (East) and Macquarie Shopping Centre (below).
- Transport for NSW’s Pink Shirts will be at Macquarie University train station during the AM and PM peaks on September 25, 26 and 29 to help with your questions. From September 30, they will also be at Station Link bus stops to help people find their way.
- Opal card kiosk on campus. Set up auto top-up on your Opal card by visiting the on-site facility provided by Transport for NSW from Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 October at MUSE, 17 Wally’s Walk.
- Staff resources and support – There are a number of options available to plan your commute and manage your work during the period of the station upgrade. For more information visit: https://staff.mq.edu.au/work/travel/station-upgrade
