Want light, fluffy scones?

If the perfect scone has always eluded you, sign up for a Scone Masterclass at the Staff Café.

Chef Manager Housien Koussan will host intimate classes of four, where he will share his knowledge and skills for baking delicious scones.

“Many staff around campus tell me they cannot make scones and that they turn into rocks. Not only are my scones fast to make, they are light, fluffy and moist,” Housien says.

“My goal is for you to walk out not just knowing how to bake the perfect scone but for you to also share these skills you learn with your family and friends.”

The classes cost $30 per person, payable at the Staff Café on the day, and you need to register for the class by emailing staffcafe@mq.edu.au.

The classes will run every Tuesday and Wednesday, starting on Tuesday 26 June and finishing 1 August. Each class starts at 10am sharp and will run for an hour.

Staff will receive a tea or coffee with the class to enjoy with the freshly baked scones.

The classes will be held at the Staff Café Building, W5A level 3.
